What is Climate Justice?!?

Picture
Climate Justice is a way of understanding Climate Changes impact on the peoples.
Climate Justice Laces social rights into the mix as it is a big problem on how the single person is affected because of healthcare, infrastructure, and quality of life caused by the government. This highlights astronomical levels of what people in power do and how the injustice effects everything even the individuals safety and access to a healthier life.

How Climate Injustice affected Puerto Rico in Maria

Picture
Maria's continuing impact on Puerto Rico is inexcusable. The United States didn’t help enough with infrastructure, evacuation, funding, decreasing climate vulnerability or even just recovery. This is a territory of the United states that was hit with  155 mph winds, 3-9 feet of storm surge, and went without power for 328 days!! Puerto Rico is still struggling to recover from the storm, but without addressing the underlying issues of colonialism and racism we will surely see a repeat of Maria.
